Job Description

Responsibilities

An Project Manager in our flooring group will be responsible managing the project until completion with support staff from seasoned superintendents and project engineers. A background with flooring is preferred, but not required.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Submission of all required samples, product data, and shop drawings for approval by the architect.
  • Review shop drawings and relay pertinent information to the field team.
  • Procurement of all project required materials.
  • Manage, price and track all change orders, plan revisions and RFI’s.
  • Manage project costs and forecast/analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits.
  • Submission of record drawings, maintenance manuals & warranties to ensure a smooth and successful closeout.
  • Attend progress meetings throughout projects, as required.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

  • Required - Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer/takeoff software
  • Microsoft Applications (Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Education: A.S. or B.S. in Construction or equivalent field experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 - 5 years commercial construction experience

  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications and team skills.
  • Must be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough.
  • Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and pride of ownership in assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates flexibility through changing conditions
