Job Title: Onboarding and Credentialing Specialist

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio

Position Overview: The Onboarding and Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing the onboarding process and ensuring that all healthcare professionals meet the necessary credentialing and compliance requirements. This role involves verifying credentials, coordinating training and orientation, and maintaining accurate records to support both our healthcare professionals and client facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare compliance, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of credentialing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Credentialing and Compliance:
  • Verify and validate the credentials, licenses, certifications, and background checks of healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations, industry standards, and client-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, licensing boards, and other entities to obtain and verify credentials.
  1. Onboarding Process:
  • Manage the onboarding process for new healthcare professionals, including coordinating orientation, training, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding materials and resources to ensure a comprehensive and efficient process.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  1. Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all credentialing and onboarding documentation.
  • Ensure that all required documents are collected, verified, and stored in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to credentialing and onboarding activities.
  1. Communication and Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals regarding credentialing and onboarding inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including recruiters and account managers, to ensure smooth integration of new hires into client facilities.
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders regarding the status of credentialing and onboarding.
  • Communicate daily with candidates over the phone regarding their onboarding and credentialing progress.
  1. Quality Assurance and Process Improvement:
  • Monitor and evaluate the onboarding and credentialing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and process enhancements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations through regular audits and reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare credentialing and onboarding, preferably within a staffing or recruitment agency.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including licensing, certifications, and background checks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in using credentialing software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
