A voluntary nonprofit hospital with 240 Medicare-certified beds, UPMC Western Maryland is an acute care, short-term facility located in the historic downtown area of Cumberland, MD, part of the Western Maryland Health System. The position is a per diem/1099 CRNA opening with flexible scheduling and a diverse case mix. Case assignments include diverse case mix with shifts of 8's, 10's, 12's, and 24's (when available). The CRNAs and anesthesiologists at UPMC Western Maryland work smoothly together as a team. Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. The location offers a lifestyle in Cumberland, MD, known for scenic views, outdoor recreational activities, and proximity to Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. Total rewards include W2 Per Diem Rate: $140/hr and 1099 Per Diem Rate: $145/hr, along with leadership and professional development opportunities.
