Electric Motor Mechanic : The motor mechanic will repair A/C motors through 4160V and some DC motors. The mechanic will also repair some pumps, generators, gearboxes, and the like. The job duties of the motor mechanic include tear down, inspect mechanical and electrical aspects of the motor, diagnose/troubleshoot, record frame and shaft measurements, mic fits, core test, check shaft runout, write up reports/workscope, change bearings, balance parts in a balance machine, clean parts, blast parts, assembly, test run, check and record electrical and vibration readings, paint. The mechanic will encounter simple repairs, as well as complex repairs, skillful and creative thinking is expected.
The job requires 5+ Years of Skilled Experience, specifically as an Electric Motor Mechanic as previous experience. The job requires working overtime hours at times and the willingness to do so. Our entire shop is climate controlled, except for the wash area. The motor mechanic will be expected to work as a team member with a positive attitude and safety focus, as well as work well with Co-workers and customers. The competitive pay rate will be based on skill and experience and will be discussed during the interview.
Minimum 40 hours a week plus Overtime and Weekends at times. We have a day shift M - F, 7 am - 3:30 pm. We also have an evening shift M - F, 2 pm - 10:30 pm.
