This position would be located in our San Diego, CA office. Responsibilities: Design and develop innovative technical hardware solutions for satellite and terrestrial IP-based communication systems in areas such as digital high-speed PWB board design involving state-of-the-art electronics circuits, high-speed FPGA board design, and switching power supply circuits for portable and fixed satellite terminals. Propose and implement hardware design based on product requirements. Involve selection and lab testing of components for product. Evaluate components using high-speed oscilloscope, logic analyzer, function generator, etc. Perform schematic capture, high-speed signal integrity, and power integrity analysis using CAD design software. Participate in high-density printed circuit board layout and design review. Design verification testing of prototypes, composing test documentation, and product failure analysis. Design satellite modem functions inside FPGA using Verilog HDL language. Perform verification using Cadence simulation tool and FPGA vendor synthesis tool. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline. Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators. Preferred Qualifications: Effective oral and written communication. The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check. Will be eligible for a discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
