Job Description The Spent Fuel Handling Recapitalization Project (SFHP), a $4B construction project is seeking an entry level electrical engineer to join the Facilities Engineering team and assist in their mission to provide oversight to construction subcontractors and ensure customer needs are being met, the as-built configuration of the facility meets the technical and functional requirements, provide cost estimating support for technical change requests, review subcontractor proposals for technical accuracy, and provide oversight of deficiency reporting and resolution. The primary focus of this position will be both the facility power network and some I&C systems like the Gamma monitoring system. This position will review any subcontractor requests to ensure that the recommended action meets all customer needs and ensures full compatibility with the remainder of the network. In addition to the position primary duties, this position will also provide backup to the lead electrical power engineer as they perform similar oversight of the low and medium voltage electrical power distribution system. As an associate engineer, you will be expected to complete simple engineering tasks on your own, after minimal training and instruction. More complex tasks will require you to team effectively with teams of diverse experience, disciplines, and backgrounds. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.
