Human Resources Intern

Location: Remote/Middle Georgia

Type: Internship, Part-time (Unpaid)

Duration: 6 Months

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented  Human Resources Intern to join our team. This role will provide hands-on experience in HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and policy development. The intern will gain insight into the key aspects of human resources while helping to shape an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives for new interns and volunteers
  • Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update employee records and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Assist in planning employee engagement activities and community outreach efforts
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations for improving organizational culture
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Collaborate with the team on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or HR software is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
