Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for a Lab   Technician  at our  Bainbridge, PA facility . This position will be responsible for p erforming quality control analysis of crude oils, soybean meal, and soybean oil, as well as other analysis required to support efficient operation of the soybean processing facility and grain elevator. To document analytical results and prepares reports for distribution. This role will be working second shift.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collect, log, and file oil samples for quality control checks.
• Perform quality control analyses in accordance with plant or customer specifications.
• Perform laboratory housekeeping duties to include washing glassware, cleaning floors and cabinets, and emptying trash containers.
• Operate quality control instruments.
• Learn to calibrate and perform simple maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state and federal agencies as well as company policies.
• Perform job within established CGMP’s.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills

Experience Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional related experience
• Knowledge of quality control
• Knowledge of chemistry

Experience Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc.) preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the Quality Control Laboratory and Soy Crush facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying equipment or samples (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment.
