Anesthesiologist opening to practice per diem with collaborative environment with UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA. Located in Seneca, Cranberry Township, PA, UPMC Northwest is a community hospital with state-of-the-art treatment technology. The facility has 96 private rooms, with up to 126 beds including semiprivate occupancy. The UPMC Behavioral Health Network includes a behavioral health building with 28 beds connected to the hospital by an enclosed walkway, a 16-bed unit for transitional care, and a nine-bed unit for inpatient rehabilitation. Case assignments include general, urology, endo, and more. Shifts are 8, 10, and 12 hours. Team leadership is under Joshua Covington, Chief MD. Team members are collegial, collaborative, and supportive, emphasizing quality and safety with equitable staffing and scheduling to support work-life balance. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients under anesthesia, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining/verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The location offers a small community lifestyle with access to outdoor recreational activities, historical sites, and local colleges and schools.
