Those in mergers and acquisition tax at PwC will focus on providing tax advice and guidance during mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Your work will involve analysing the tax implications of such transactions, developing tax structures, and assisting clients in navigating complex tax regulations to optimise tax outcomes. Translating the vision, you set the tone, and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping the direction of client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. The Opportunity As part of the Federal M&A team you are expected to lead the way as technology-enabled tax advisors who provide benefits through digitization, automation, and increased efficiencies. As a Director, you are responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading business development efforts, making impactful decisions and overseeing multiple projects while maintaining executive-level client relations. This role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping client engagements, and mentoring the future leaders. Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the strategic vision for the Federal M&A team
  • Drive business growth through innovative tax advisory services
  • Oversee multiple projects maintaining client satisfaction and quality
  • Build and maintain executive-level client relationships
  • Mentor and develop the future leaders of tax
  • Utilize technology to enhance tax processes and efficiencies
  • Maintain PwC's reputation for quality, integrity, and inclusivity
  • Collaborate with other PwC teams to deliver integrated solutions
What You Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 6 years of experience
  • A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
