Physical Therapist Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Centralia, WA

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Physical Therapist Assistant to become part of our interdisciplinary team. This role involves working under the guidance of Physical Therapists to help patients restore mobility and strength through personalized therapy sessions. Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapy sessions as directed by the Physical Therapist per treatment plans.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress updates per regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and clean therapy treatment areas and equipment.
• Assist nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides to ensure proper care techniques.
• Participate in patient care conferences and staff training sessions.
• Communicate with supervisors and other healthcare team members regarding patient progress and challenges.
• Instruct patients' families and caregivers in maintenance programs to prepare for discharge.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of WA, with a commitment to maintaining continued education requirements.
• Proficiency in software systems like Casamba and PointClickCare is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage positively and effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Physical capability to perform tasks requiring strength, mobility, and endurance.
