Job Description

Job description includes: 

• Taking orders:  Servers take food and drink orders from customers, and may input them into a computer system for the kitchen staff to use. 

   

   

• Serving food and drinks:  Servers deliver food and drinks to customers. 

   

   

• Providing recommendations:  Servers are knowledgeable about the menu and can make recommendations to customers. 

   

   

• Communicating with kitchen staff:  Servers work with the kitchen staff to process orders and accommodate special requests. 

   

   

• Handling customer inquiries:  Servers answer questions from customers, deal with concerns and complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction. 

   

   

• Processing payments:  Servers process payments from customers, including cash and credit card transactions, and provide receipts. 

   

   

• Cleaning and setting up tables:  Servers clean and set up tables and dining areas. 

   

   

• Assisting with opening and closing:  Servers may help with opening and closing duties. 

   

   

Servers are also required to attend food safety training.
