Job Summary

The Statewide Clinical Community Based Services (CBS) and Outpatient Director is a statewide leader that supports all CBS and Outpatient Programs. This Director provides leadership, guidance and oversight to the clinical services team for the CBS/outpatient programs, ensuring achievement of targeted goals and outcomes, including obtainment of therapist productivity expectations and effective treatment planning, and program contracts and KVC procedures, standards, and policies. This position directly supervises the therapists, clinical managers and ADs associated with clinical programming under the CBS and outpatient umbrellas. The Clinical CBS and Outpatient Director works collaboratively with the statewide clinical team, leadership of CBS and outpatient programming leadership in achieving the overall strategic plan goals, annual outcomes, quality indicators, and core competency performance standards for assigned staff.

Compensation

Salary is determined based on education, licensure and years of relevant experience in the field. Candidates will be asked to share their salary expectations during the application process, and we will follow that closely when determining offers.

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Social Worker or closely related field from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification:
  • Clinical licensure within the state of Missouri (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience in providing individual, family and group therapy to children and/or adolescents. Three or more years supervising professional staff in a child welfare, mental health or healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience: Experience overseeing multiple programs, interdisciplinary teams and interdepartmental planning teams. Experience acting as a leader during accreditation activities (TJC, CD, etc.)

Task Expectations

• Participate in treatment planning and ensure that treatment plans are carried out through programming and active treatment.
• Provide oversight and coordination of all grant-related activities within the clinical areas of the department, including tracking and management.
• Supervise and oversee department leaders as assigned (e.g., clinical, operations, program/milieu, nursing, facilities).
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership to develop strategy for positioning CBS and the outpatient therapy line as subject matter experts and growing an external trauma-informed services market.
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership to improve the therapeutic environment across CBS and outpatient programs statewide and contribute to strategic planning for therapy services.
• Provide leadership through training, mentoring, support, and involvement in strategic plan development and implementation.
• Liaison with the Admissions Department, Utilization Review, Training, and Performance and Quality Improvement departments to ensure alignment between shared services and program goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and initiate emergency response plans as necessary.
• Develop, evaluate, and report clinical outcomes.
• Oversee and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings; participate in clinically necessary meetings such as interdisciplinary meetings, case staffings, program consultations, and group supervisions.
• Oversee the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based and best practice models.
• Assist with new statewide clinical projects and initiatives to enhance clinical work.
• Develop and support clinical processes with appropriate oversight.
• Ensure children and youth referred to CBS and/or outpatient programs receive timely, accurate, and complete clinical services.
• Support programs in achieving compliance with TJC, state licensure, KVC policies, and grant/contract requirements.
• Ensure program safety by upholding mandated reporting requirements, reviewing incident reports, and executing safetyrelated action plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
