Job Details

• RN, 36 hour nights, telemetry, float to med/surg every third weekend or as needed
• Job responsibilities include assessing patients' needs and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the healthcare team promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills and techniques specific to specialized care areas.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately in the medical records.
• Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.

Job Requirements

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Years of Experience: 2
• Float Requirements: Float required as needed including to CMMC
• Must Have Skills/Experience: MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV Insulin protocols, PICC, Central Line care, starting IVs, Blood product administration, IV sedation, Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, Interpretation of ABGs

Schedule Information

• Shift: 7:00PM - 7:00AM (3x12’s)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None

• Unit Profile: Facility Name: Bridgton Hospital
• Floor: SCU
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Position Information: Facility Department/Cost Center: SCU, Role: RN, Specialty: Med-Surg SCU (Tele)
• Number of Beds: 22
• Equipment: Phillips Monitors in SCU rooms/ and telemetry with central monitoring system, Wall-mounted Welch Allyn VS Machine in each room, bladder scanner, EKG machine, ceiling and portable lifts.
• EHR: Cerner
• Patient Population: General medical floor with telemetry, mixed with skilled beds.
