Job Description

We are looking for multiple Cerner FSI/Lifepoint Analysts to join a prominent healthcare system on an 18 month fully remote contract.

The Cerner FSI/Lifepoint Analyst will work on integrated projects involving Cerner Lab IS to client EMR interfacing. In addition, the Cerner FSI/Lifepoint Analyst is responsible for participating in the design, build, implementation, training, evaluation, testing, maintenance and support of Cerner Millenium in a Lab environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain HL7, API, and other interfaces to facilitate data exchange between Cerner and external systems.
  • Work with Cerner FSI to ensure smooth interoperability between different healthcare applications.
  • Identify and resolve interface issues to prevent data transmission errors.
  • Work closely with IT teams, clinicians, and vendors to implement integration solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Conduct testing of new and existing interfaces to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on interfaces and will be responsible for identifying and documenting IT design specifications based on user needs analysis and need-gap assessments.
  • Maintain detailed records of interface configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Provide user instruction regarding use and workflow.
  • Perform break/fix activities.
  • Manage and complete requests for system changes and additions/deletions.
  • Perform system management tasks including, but not limited to, ops jobs, some optimization and service pack implementation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Integration Analyst, Interface Analyst, or similar role, specifically working with Cerner FSI, Lifepoint, HL7, and Cloverleaf.
  • Strong experience with API development and integration is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of EHR workflows, healthcare interoperability, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex integration issues.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
