SUMMARY

NY Enrichment Group is seeking several DJ & Music Development Instructors to lead classes for students ranging from 5-10 years of age. The candidates will be working with youth involved in a juvenile justice program as an alternative incarceration program.

The successful candidates will be supporting students in developing specific knowledge and skills including but not limited to facilitating in-person DJing, Digital Music production using Garage Band, Soundtrap or other related musical platforms as well as building and creating innovative projects.

The instructor must be enthusiastic and exhibit a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to the communities we serve and demonstrate the ability to motivate and educate. We are seeking a passionate, motivated and creative professional that truly enjoys enriching the lives of youth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead music classes that incorporate a social group work model
• Manage a classroom of 10-15 students effectively
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons and projects
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and skill levels
• Foster a positive, creative, and inclusive environment for students

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university ( preferred )
• Prior performance experience in DJing and/or music production
• Experience working with youth, preferably in educational or community-based settings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills

• Friday

• Apr 4, 11, 18, 25

• May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

• 12:40pm-2:10pm

• 2:20pm-3:50pm

• Greenwich, CT

Additional programming will arise with other NYEG partners once the candidate begins
